Brian Markham and the local Liberal Democrats have got off to a flying start with around 500 doors being knocked on in the first week of campaigning in the Westone By Election.
Brian said "the response from resident to our message BRING BACK BRIAN has been really good. People remember The Focus Team and the work done over the years by myself and other Lib Dems David Garlick and Marion Minney and after over 5 years of having a Tory Borough Councillor want someone who they know will put the local community first"

Brian was a Borough Councillor for the area from 1993 until 2011 and is a former Mayor. He is the only one of the three candidates to live in the ward, (the Conservative lives in Blisworth) and several of his Grandchildren attend local schools.
"The Conservatives called this election the day their former councillor resigned but we have hit the ground running and have already delivered 2 leaflets across the ward. It has been great to see some of our new members get involved as well as seasoned campaigners and I am really gratefull for their help and enthusiasm" Said Brian
