Local government in our county is being re-organised as a result of the financial failure of Conservative-led Northamptonshire County Council. Elections for new unitary councils for West Northamptonshire and North Northamptonshire are due in May 2020. These will replace the existing county council as well as the existing borough and district councils from May 2021.
