Northamptonshire Liberal Democrats have won a national award for their work at Northamptonshire County Council. Northamptonshire Lib Dems have been awarded “Opposition Group of the Year” by the Liberal Democrat group at the Local Government Association.
Leader of the Opposition, Cllr Brendan Glynane, said “We are delighted to have been judged the best opposition group in the Country by our peers. We have worked hard to open up the Council to local people and give as many residents as possible the chance to hold their politicians to account in Northamptonshire.”
“We will continue the fight against Northamptonshire Conservatives dreadful and incompetent financial management and hold the Conservatives to account for their damaging decisions here in Northamptonshire.”
