Cllr Brendan Glynane, Leader of the Liberal Democrat Official Opposition at County Hall has slammed Northamptonshire Conservatives plans to study householders waste.

Cllr Glynane “Snooping through people’s bins is not the way to increase recycling. If the Conservatives really wanted to increase recycling they would put pressure on the Conservative administration at the Borough Council to introduce weekly food waste collections when they said would.”

“The Conservatives should be working with householders to reduce waste going to landfill. Instead they want to spy on people. This is not Big Society, it’s Big Brother.”
