Cllr Brendan Glynane, Liberal Democrat Leader of the Opposition at Northamptonshire County Council has today warned the Conservative administration that proposed cuts to the Door-to-Door service will hit the elderly and disabled.
Cllr Glynane said “The Door-to-Door service is a vital lifeline for many people. Without it the elderly and disabled will be left isolated in their homes. We need to support people and help them to live independent, active lives, not abandon them as the Conservatives are proposing.”
“Yet again we see the Conservatives hacking away at frontline services that will effect the vulnerable. It’s clear that Northamptonshire Conservatives are still the nasty party.”
