Our party is rising in both numbers and in the polls. Out Local membership, as nationally, continues to grow at pace.. Their analysis shows we are picking up Remain supporters from across the other parties and from those who have no set party allegiance.
As our local party has grown, I thought it useful to introduce myself. I lived in Towcester, South Northamptonshire from 1997 until March this year when my wife and I moved to Badby near Daventry. I have two grown up girls who both went to local schools in Towcester. I worked in local government for over 30 years ending my career as Deputy Chief Executive at South Northamptonshire Council. Since retiring in 2008 I have been a Councillor with Towcester Town, South Northamptonshire and Northamptonshire County Councils at various times. I am currently focussing on South Northamptonshire Council where I am the Liberal Democrat Group Leader closely monitoring how effectively both the split from Cherwell and preparations for the new West Northamptonshire Council are being managed by the Tory administration.
I stood for Parliament in the snap election in 2017 and am standing again in the snap election in 2019. My main political interests are the Environment, Housing, the NHS and of course Remaining in the EU.
